Spice Art Club

For artists who want their work to feel truly theirs, honest, free, and built to last.

A supportive art membership for painters ready to build a sustainable, lifelong practice — without chasing styles, starting over, or burning out.

If This Feels Familiar

You already paint.
You care about your work.

But it doesn’t always connect.
Some months feel clear. Others feel scattered.

You start strong, then lose rhythm.
You second-guess your choices.
You wonder if your work will ever feel fully yours.

You don’t need more techniques.
You need a practice you can trust.

What Becomes Possible

You show up with less pressure and more clarity.
Your work begins to connect because it’s honest, not forced.

You trust your instincts.
Painting becomes part of your life.

You build a body of work that feels steady, true, and fully yours—
something you can return to, year after year.

Spice Art Club
is the space between where you are now and where you’re headed.

Not a course.
Not a quick fix.
A place to practice.

It supports the small,
consistent choices that lead to lasting change.

The heart of Spice
"Spice” is about courage — the small, honest choices you make again and again.

Like ingredients in a dish, different marks, ideas, and voices come together.

Sometimes smooth. Sometimes strange.

Always richer together.

Who is it for?

  • Not recommended for artists who are entirely content with their current practice and don't need help or inspiration to develop their practices.

  • It is not recommended for artists who take themselves too seriously.

🌿 P.S.
You don’t need to have it all figured out. You just need a place to keep going. Let this be that place. We’re saving you a seat.

Come as you are.
Make what you can.
Let your art meet you where you are.

I'm Nino.

A designer and abstract artist with over 27 years of creative experience.

For a long time, I kept those two worlds separate. Design was my profession—structured, functional, built to serve. Art was personal—intuitive, expressive, a way to process the world and feel free.

But about seven years ago, something shifted. I started to see how these two practices weren’t opposites—they were partners. And the more I let them influence each other, the more whole my creative life became.

Design gave me the ability to build systems that support consistency. Art reminded me to trust the unknown, stay playful, and let go.

That’s the balance I bring to my own work—and the heart behind Spice Art Club.

Spice is a space I created for artists who want to make work that feels authentic, consistent, and alive. It’s where structure and freedom meet—where showing up matters more than being polished, and where your art gets to grow on your own terms, in your own rhythm.

Whether through my paintings, workshops, or the club itself—I’m here to support artists in building a creative life that feels both grounded and expansive.

I will supply you with the list when you're in the club.

Spice Stories

I’m also enjoying sticking my sketches on the wall, like little bits of me, the parts that I like and the parts I don’t. I’m listening to the inner child who just wants to play and trying to ignore the judge.
Thanks, Nino and everyone, for inspiring me to get back into the art kitchen!

- Josefina Zorrilla

Spice Art Club has changed my life!
Before spice I would sit on YouTube and watch all your videos over and over. Then came the opportunity for a direct line to you! You have no idea how grateful I am and how much I've learned, but continue to learn from you.

- Hayley Gecelter

I love the variety and especially appreciate being able to go to recordings when I am able. I work full time and can't always attend live events.

- Barbara Weber

This is my favorite type of lesson - it helps me - to hear you consider changes, what you are thinking, and how relates to design and what you do and show/talk about what happens - thank you, Nino!

- Debra Stanis

Last Friday's session has been really freeing me up, a lot of my fears have disappeared since then, thank you and the Club!

- Benedicte Allee

An intimate community of artists in his group and is developing a series of mini-workshops within the membership-one of which is about using acrylic paint markers. After watching it, I finally got some big markers and experimented with them a bit today. He's got a lighthearted but diligent approach to art-making that resonates with me.

- Darla Myers

I can watch this for hours! It’s as exciting as a nice film on Netflix!

- Loes van de Ridder

I have been a member of Spice Art Club for a little over a year. In this safe place, as a beginning artist, I am learning daily about process over results and how to just post my artwork for accountability, letting go of more results. So much generosity and support from my Spicey Art Pals!

- Vicki Seastrom

I love the encouragement and sharing that takes place in this community. I also get a lot out of the feedback sessions and am enjoying the videos you've created. I'm still rather new to the group and haven't had the time I'd like to devote to exploring more of the site. There's a wonderful sense of playfulness here too!

- Karen Miraldi

I feel I have more confidence when throwing the paint around (on the canvas, I mean). The paint on the floor, well that has always been there. I am less judgmental of my work. Just letting it flow. Also working in shorter bursts of time so I stop earlier before I have created mud. That alone was a huge step forward.  I was always ruining everything by overpainting & not letting it dry between layers.

- Nancy Fern

I have learned to trust myself. I have learned to simplify. I could go on, I have 100 good things to say, but I am trying to simplify. haha.

- Mia Stilwell Hinchey

My Art Practice Manifesto

This is your safe space.
Experiment often, and be your true self.
Get clear on your WHY. If you don’t know your WHY, keep working anyway.
Listen to others’ points of view.
Share your point of view.
Quiet down your heart, and listen to your intuition.
Your art is your story. Say it authenticity.
You have it in you!
You are uniquely beautiful; paint that!
Turn it upside down, or let it sit for a while.
It’s only paint.
Be kind, and give more.
Take your practice seriously, don’t take yourself too seriously.
Incremental progress.
Perfection is not what you’re looking for.
Be a knowledge sponge.
The process is more sacred than the art itself.
Learn, make, share, let go, repeat.
